Sending a child to private school or college in North America can easily cost tens of thousands of dollars per semester. But in Uganda, just a few dollars make a difference. Here's the breakdown of how much it costs to sponsor a student's education per month:
Primary level: $35/month, Secondary level: $50/month, and College level: $195/month.
Many are dying of malaria from dirty water. Uganda has a high maternal and infant mortality because of malaria. By providing clean water, so many problems are fixed. Children don’t have to miss school because they are fetching water. Mothers are able to care for their family as they have not fallen ill.
Those in the 13 remote villages are impoverished and rely on assistance for food and supplies. Most young people leave, although they end up jobless and in the chaotic slums. They do not have food, kerosene for heat, nor salt, soap or other personal hygiene items. Many people eventually starve.
“I finished senior six level class last year and am living in Kasana in Luweero Diocese. I was given a place at Uganda Martyrs Nkozi University for a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance. Unfortunately my parents are not in the position to afford my tuition but one day when I had gone to church Fr. Vincent found me at the Martyr’s chapel where I was praying and crying after my dad told me he could not afford my tuition. When Fr. Vincent told me you would provide the tuition; this was a blessing to me. My dad is a catechist and farmer and cannot afford the tuition and taking care of the family. Education is very important to me and my dream since childhood was to become an accountant. I will be the first child in the family to pursue a bachelor’s degree. I hope one day to set eyes on you because you have saved me although I still have a long way to go. Thank you so much. I love you a lot.”

We are blessed more than we bless. The residents in Uganda need our helping hand to achieve a comfortable, safe and beautiful life. We are currently supporting 111 children with 400 more asking for support to go to school.
60-70% of Uganda's residents live on less than a dollar a day. With help, our goal is to support the education system, stock food banks, provide clean water and solar power sources.
